The Willemsbrug is the striking red bridge over the Nieuwe Maas in
Rotterdam and is parallel to the Erasmus Bridge. The Willemsbrug forms
the connection between the center of Rotterdam with the
Noordereiland and is named after King Willem III. This is the
second generation of the Willemsbrug that was opened in 1981. The
The first Willemsbrug dates from 1878. When you are on the Southeast side
from the bridge, you can see the Erasmus Bridge. To the
Northwest side you see the swimming pool Tropicana on the left and in the distance
is the district Kralingen - Crooswijk.
