Please is cozy and warm, great for a relaxed coffee or for a more extended lunch or dinner. I tried a couple of things on the menu and they were all really good, including the poached eggs (including in their own version of a 12uurtje, the statenlunch, which also comes with a croquette and a soup). Positive mention for the burger too.

Great location for nice weather as they have a sunny terrace. Food is pretty good in general, though I wouldn't recommend eggs Benedicte or poached eggs (they're always either cold, or overdone).

Child friendly place with kidsmeal, and they even got toys and games available all the way in the back, in a corner. Eventhrough the menu was simple, but the dishes were delicious and the warm atmosphere makes you wanna stay longer. The candle lights gives a romantic and cozy vide. So my partner and I really enjoyed eating there.

I had dinner with my colleagues at Statencafe. It was a large group, but we still had privacy as we were seated separately from the other guests. Fir the starter I chose Piquuillo&aubrigine, followed with fish of the day as my main course. It was delicious and very generous pirtions. Overall, its a lovely place with very king staff and I highly recommend it 🥂
