This restaurant, located right by the lake, offers a stunning view—especially during the day, though the nighttime view of a sparkling Rotterdam is just as beautiful. It's an incredibly cozy spot. We reserved a space for a birthday celebration and were given a private area with a large table, couches, and a charming setup featuring a small Christmas tree and a fireplace. It was perfect for such an occasion. While the presentation of the main dishes was impressive, unfortunately, the taste didn’t quite meet expectations—none of us found the food particularly flavorful. On the bright side, the coffee and desserts were excellent, and I suspect they come from a quality local patisserie. The Christmas decorations and interior design were absolutely lovely, creating a warm and festive atmosphere. I’d recommend this place for relaxed drinks with a loved one or as a cozy stop for coffee after a sunny walk by the lake.

Ambience was quite nice but cannot tell the same for the food unfortunately. Deserts were nice though, a few type of cakes, they were tasty. We were 9 people for birthday celebration, they arranged the cakes and candles which was nice of them. Scene is also good. Liked it but next time will be only for coffee, cake and the view.

An odd looking building that stands out on the lake. It seems thatched, but appears to be constructed from prefab metal. The location is what matters - right there by the lake. I had the Tripel Carmeliet, which was nice, and some bitterball, also nice.

The location really is main draw for this restaurant. It overlooks the beautiful Kralingseplass lake and is surrounded by the lush green forest. It's very pleasant in summer to sit out on the terrace and also quite romantic at night. The menu is very average, not a lot to choose from and pretty much the same you get at all Dutch restaurants here. It was tasty but nothing special. While the service is friendly enough they, (and almost all restaurants in NL at the moment) are extremely short staffed so it takes very long to be served and very hard to get servers attention. But if you're up to a slightly longer wait time, I'd say it's worth a visit.
