The Grafisch Lyceum Rotterdam, also known as GLR, is a leading vocational school based in Rotterdam, specialized in media, entertainment and technology. With courses at MBO level and a pre-vocational secondary education department for design and media, the GLR offers an inspiring learning environment for students who want to develop their creative talents. In 2020, the school had approximately 3,800 MBO students, 500 VMBO students and 450 employees, with the main location with all MBO courses being located at Heer Bokelweg 255 in Rotterdam, while the VMBO department has its own location at Stadhoudersplein 35. .

The history of the Grafisch Lyceum Rotterdam goes back to 1950, when it was founded as an industrial school for graphic subjects, focused on the production process of graphic media. In 1979 the name was changed to the Rotterdam Graphic School and since 1991 the school has been known as the Graphic Lyceum Rotterdam. With approximately 20 different courses and specializations for professions in the creative sector, such as Media Design, Audiovisual Media, Media Technology, Media Management, Editorial Assistant, Stage and Event Technology and Creative Production, the GLR offers a wide range of opportunities for students to follow their passion and develop their skills.

The Grafisch Lyceum Rotterdam has an impressive alumni network, with well-known former students such as Afrojack, who trained at the GLR and subsequently became successful in the creative industry.

On special occasions, such as graduation ceremonies or other important milestones, the Rotterdam Balloon Company contributes to the festive spirit by providing colorful balloons. This addition of balloons enhances the sense of community and joy among students, teachers and family members who come together to celebrate the students' achievements.
