What a fascinating place! The building itself is a work of art but it is also packed full of interesting pieces. Over 6 floors you can browse the stored sculptures, paintings, drawings and other mediums, as well as learn about how they are preserving and restoring works there. The roof terrace gives amazing views across the city and they also have a good looking restaurant and bar on the top floor. There appears to be a venue space up there too which was setting up for a concert. The entrance price was very reasonable and children/students are free. Definitely recommend a visit!

Built in order to act as the storage space of the museum’s main building nearby while it is being renovated, this peculiar Depot is not only an architectural marvel, it also houses plenty of masterpieces. You can see the most beloved of them presented in a very special way. It also gives you a look - through plenty of windows- on the collection as it is stashed away, waiting for the reopening of the museum. The nice restaurant on the top floor is a good reason to prolong your visit. A definite must when in Rotterdam.

5 floors with the rooftop garden and restaurant on the top floor. It's definitely an interesting place as this is just a storage depot for art pieces with some being displayed and like many other reviews have said, rotating galleries from various artists. You can see some restoration efforts being done in some of the levels and the information on the frames was actually quite interesting to learn about. But overall what stole the show for me was this short film with some absolutely fire music to go along with it.

I thought I understood what this place would be, but it was so much more and better than I could have imagined. Not just a showcase of art, not just creative displays and architecture. It is an invitation into vast and powerful ocean we call art. Sharing the curiosity and passion for art of the curators, part teaching museum, part backstage pass. Truly moved.

The depot is a stunning architecture. It is interesting to learn more about "behind the scenes" of storage, restoration etc. However, the ticket price is too high for the amount of works shown. It seems such a shame to have so many works that people can't see.
