I had dinner at De Machinist twice so far, the restaurant is ok but the best part is going for some tapas and drinks in the outdoor area (Summer time only). It very relaxing as you can sit along the canal. The food is really good: I recommend to try the mussels, they were so fresh and flavorful, among the best I have ever had.

The food was restaurant level nothing crazy. The service was very slow but kind. However the location and building with the history behind it had a good atmosphere. They were lacking in the desert menu

De Machinist had a lovely atmosphere, and the staff kindly let us switch to a table we liked better. The food was delicious, though service was a bit slow due to how busy it was—understandable given the demand. Overall, a great spot to enjoy a meal!

Top notch restaurant (and I am VERY picky). The staff was 11/10 and food deserves a 10/10. We had soup, fish, steak and chicken. Desserts were great as well! What impressed us most is how family friendly this restaurant is. They have a small play-corner with kids kitchen and plenty toys and stuff for kids to explore. We will definitely be back as we liked the food a LOT.
