Went for an orchestral nutcracker performance and was shocked at how large the building was. The seats are getting older and there isn't great leg room but the building as a whole is pleasant. Not much today.

The main concert hall in Rotterdam where local and more importantly world renown musicians perform be it classical, jazz, pop. The building is beautiful and the acoustics are extraordinary. Please try to catch a performance when you are in Rotterdam. Located within walking distance from Central Station

It was an introduction to opera. Unfortunately this did not succeed as we said only heard drama, not one joyous opera ( e.g. not one Mozart) The Doelen itself has awful chairs

Good venue, beautiful entryway with decorations matching the performance. In our case: Harry Potter in Concert! There was a bit of delay in the sound. The orchestra sounded beautifully clear, but the movie that played had a delay we could hear between the front and back rows. It didn't bother us immensely, however. Staff was helpful and parking around the venue was good, albeit higher in price-range.
