At the location on Montessoriweg, the Avicenna College offers basic VMBO, VMBO framework and VMBO-TL/MAVO, while the location on Fichtestraat houses the HAVO and VWO departments.

The classroom uses the RTTI and OMZA model, where each child is central and receives extra guidance where necessary. In addition, the college offers various opportunities for talent development, such as sports, art & culture and drama lessons. Inspiring school outings are also organized to Paris, London, Andalusia, amusement parks and museums, as well as sports days and skating outings.

To optimally support students, Avicenna College has a professional support team, consisting of support coordinators, student counselors, absenteeism officers, school social workers, remedial teachers and school psychologists.
