In Rotterdam, you can park for free in areas where paid parking does not apply and at P+R locations. These parking spots are located on the outskirts of the city, from where you can continue your journey by public transport. Sometimes, this can even be faster than driving to the city center, where finding a free parking spot can often be difficult. By parking your car at a P+R location, you avoid the stress and costs of parking in the busy city center.
On New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Pentecost Sunday, and Christmas Day, you don't have to pay parking fees anywhere in Rotterdam!
Free Parking at P+R Locations
In Rotterdam, there are 15 P+R locations (Park and Ride) where you can park your car or motorbike for free for up to 72 hours. This is a convenient option if you want to avoid the congestion and parking costs in the city center. However, at some of these locations, you must continue your journey by public transport and use your OV-chipkaart. These P+R locations are situated on the outskirts of the city, making it easy to travel to the city center by public transport. The travel time to the center varies from 10 to 20 minutes, depending on the P+R location where you park.

Free Parking at Feyenoord Stadium De Kuip
If there are no matches or events at De Kuip, you can park for free in the stadium's parking lot. You can park your car in a spot on P2 or P3, directly next to the Maasgebouw.
Free Parking at Rotterdam Central Station
At the Kiss & Ride on Delftseplein next to Rotterdam Central Station, you can park for free for a short time to drop off or pick up travelers.
Free Parking at Rotterdam Airport
If you only want to briefly say goodbye to your travel companions (Kiss & Go), you can do so in front of the terminal to unload luggage. The maximum parking time is 5 minutes, and you don't have to pay for it. You will find these free parking spots when you drive from the A13 highway to Rotterdam Airport via the Rotterdam Airportbaan to P1 on the left. Just after P1, you have the so-called Kiss & Go parking spaces.
Free Parking for Loading and Unloading
For loading and unloading, it is not considered "parking" in Rotterdam, so the municipality cannot issue a parking fine. You can park here for free to load or unload goods or to let someone get in or out. However, it is required that immediately after parking the car, goods of some weight or size that can hardly be taken or brought in any other way must be continuously loaded or unloaded.
